What Causes Sensitive Teeth?
Do you feel sharp pain when you eat ice cream or sip hot tea? You might have sensitive teeth.
Common causes:
- Worn tooth enamel — brushing too hard or using a hard brush.
- Tooth decay or cracked teeth.
- Gum recession — gums pulling away and exposing roots.
- Grinding your teeth.
What you can do:
- Use a soft brush and brush gently.
- Switch to toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
- Avoid very acidic or sugary foods.
- Visit your dentist to find and fix the root cause.
Sensitivity is common — but it can be treated!
